Sprinklers

Annual verification of the automatic sprinkler system’s controls

Trip test

Once a year, each system will undergo tests. The tripping delay and the water pressure or full capacity air pressure will be noted.

Internal pipe cleaning

An internal pipe cleaning will be done by hydrostatic rinsing in order to eliminate all the corrupted and rusty water, thus ensuring the system’s efficiency.

Alarm verification

Once the alarm goes off, the technician will communicate with the alarm monitoring company to ensure that your alarms, electrical and hydraulic bells are functioning properly.

Visual inspection

An inspection will be done in all premises to ensure that all areas are well protected by automatic sprinklers. It is essential that the sprinklers’ room be accessible and that each head bear no sign of corrosion, grease, paint, or damage.

Maintenance and lubrication

The maintenance of the connexions to the fire department, the pressure pumps for water systems, the compressors, and the automatic air pressure maintenance device for air systems will be done. We will also lubricate the exterior hydraulic bells and their sieves.

Electric or diesel fire pump trigger test

A water flow test will be done in order to make sure that the pump and the suction pipe are not clogged, and that pump functions properly. However, a pump test to evaluate its capacity should be done every five years.
